SIS's long association with the Shree Shiladevi School in Nepal is one of the cornerstones of our students' international engagement and social awareness. For over a decade our students have been raising funds that have helped improve the fabric of the school, buy books and materials, and even pay the local salaries of two teachers. We were delighted to receive pictures recently showing the latest aspects of progress at the school. A new classroom has been finished, and they have started a Nature Club to take care of the garden.
Working with the school is an immensely rewarding experience for SIS students, as is our annual trip to Nepal, where students get to see up close a different culture and participate in a richly rewarding but very different learning experience.
