Stockholm International School will begin a partnership with De Nederlandse School Stockholm (DNSS) in August 2026.
DNSS is a Dutch language and culture school for children aged 4–16 who have at least one Dutch-speaking parent. It offers weekly classes outside regular school hours, allowing students to maintain their Dutch language skills and cultural identity alongside their education in Sweden.
The school currently serves around 80 students and has been based for several years at another international school on the outskirts of Stockholm. As DNSS reviewed its future location, it selected SIS as the best setting to support its growing community.
Under an initial three-year agreement, DNSS will hold weekly after-school classes during term time at both the Norra Latin and Johannesgatan campuses. In addition, three to four weekend events will take place at Norra Latin throughout the academic year.
To introduce this new arrangement, DNSS hosted an Information Evening at Norra Latin to provide current families with details about the move and offer local families with Dutch connections an opportunity to learn more about the school. SIS families with a Dutch parent or guardian were also invited to attend.
This partnership reflects SIS’s role as a hub for international communities in Stockholm, and we look forward to welcoming DNSS teachers, students, and families to our campuses next academic year.
