The soundtrack to our 75th Anniversary Gala

We are delighted to announce that Stefan Gustafsson will be our pianist for the SIS 75th Anniversary Gala.

A graduate of Södra Latins Gymnasium and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Stefan has enjoyed a distinguished career in Swedish music. Over the decades, he has performed with some of Sweden’s most celebrated musicians, including Alice Babs and Roffe Ericsson, and with acclaimed ensembles such as the Bernt Rosengren Quartet, Nisse Sandström’s Sextet and Johnny Olsson Big Band. The Bernt Rosengren Quartet’s I’m Flying was awarded the prestigious Gyllene Skivan for Swedish Jazz Album of the Year in 2009.

His performances have taken him across Scandinavia and Germany, and to the Nobel Banquet. He has also composed for SVT and theatre and worked as musical director for numerous productions.

Stefan brings another quality particularly close to our hearts at SIS: a commitment to nurturing talent. Alongside his performing career, he teaches jazz piano at Södra Latins spetsutbildning in music and spent 20 years teaching advanced jazz piano methodology at the Royal College of Music.

Exceptional talent, decades of experience, and a passion for inspiring the next generation – Stefan embodies many of the qualities we celebrate at SIS.
