SIS is once again supporting the sustainable practices of our friends in the Sheiladevi Primary School community in Nepal. Our Nepal Project Drive will centre around a collection of Fabric/Materials, Art supplies and games!
Together, we can make a difference and support this endeavour of the community in Nepal. Last year, SIS contributions directly impacted the Sheiladevi community, enabling them to repurpose and upcycle the donated materials to create bags, pencil cases, and accessories. They learned new skills and sold the products This gave them the resources to pay for their children's school uniforms and school fees, which continues to empower them to be more self-sustainable.
This year we would like to continue supporting this project because, through upcycling, we give old materials new life and contribute to a circular economy.
You can also support the Nepal Project by buying an upcycled bag? If you would also like to support the community sustainably by buying a bag made by the Nepali women in the Ngakort, which we brought back from our last trip, using the materials we donated last year. Please do so by filling out this order form.
