SIS welcomes many new families every year and the SPC Board has created the Buddy System to ensure that each new family is connected to a current family who can share their perspective based on their own experience.
Buddies can offer advice and support in navigating the transition to Sweden, Stockholm and SIS in particular. They are matched as closely as possible, based on the new family's priorities and interests

This was seriously, extremely helpful! Navigating a new school and systems and policies is daunting and my buddy was always available and helpful. Her kids were wonderful to my kids and have also been super helpful to them. I am very thankful for this programme.
