Celebrating 75 years

Why celebrate 75 years? Because our 75 years is a story worth telling.

An international school is never just a collection of buildings, classrooms and timetables. It is a constantly changing community of people who arrive from different places, bring different experiences and, for a while, share the same journey.

That makes reaching 75 years something rather special.

For three quarters of a century, generations of students have walked through our doors carrying different languages, cultures, ambitions, and dreams. They have learned, laughed, struggled, succeeded, made friends, and occasionally tested the patience of their teachers. They have left with more knowledge than they arrived with – and, we hope, with a little more curiosity about the world.

So an anniversary gives us a chance to pause and appreciate all of that.

It is a moment to celebrate the teachers who inspired us, the families who built our community, the alumni who have carried the spirit of the school into the wider world, and the students whose energy and ideas keep the school moving forward. It is also a chance to remember the people and moments that helped make the school what it is today.

But a 75th anniversary isn't simply about looking backwards. In fact, the best reason to celebrate the past is to give us confidence about the future.

The world has changed enormously since our school opened its doors. The next 75 years will bring changes we can barely imagine. Artificial intelligence, new technologies, new challenges, and new opportunities will reshape the world our students inherit.

What will not change is the need for people who can think, question, collaborate, communicate, and understand perspectives beyond their own.

Let's enjoy the memories, tell the stories, raise a glass, cheer our students, and thank everyone who has played a part.
