A group of SIS students were able to participate in Operation Wallacea – where they got to be directly involved in meaningful research alongside scientists in a Mexico-based environmental study. The students experienced scientific fieldwork for real as they collected and processed data.

The students paid for their own travel costs, while the SIS Spirit Fund paid the participation fee which helps fund the project.
