A warm welcome from the 2024 / 2025 SPC Board President

SPC Board

The SIS Parent Community Board (SPC Board) is a team of parent volunteers dedicated to ensuring everyone feels welcome into the SIS community from day one, enhancing the SIS experience for all students and parents. The Board is elected each year by the parent community and are welcome to nominate themselves for a position.

In partnership with parent class reps, volunteers and SIS, the SPC board organises various exciting events, celebrations, and programs throughout the year. Additionally, the SPC works with the school to help support SIS driven events.

The SPC Board also organises a year round Buddy Programme pairing New Families with seasoned SIS Families to help them settle in, make friends, and get insider tips about living in Stockholm.

Parent Class & Grade Representatives

Parent Class/Grade Representatives are a vital link in the SIS Parent Community, making communication and collaboration between school, teachers and parents easier and even more effective.

The Parent Representative is a point of contact for both the school, parents and SPC. They help foster relationships between parents for their child's age group through social events and can support class-specific initiatives. It's a great opportunity to get involved in your child's school life and to learn more about how the school works.

Special Event Volunteers

We need lots of volunteers to make all our events and activities happen! These volunteers are recruited by the Board and/or Class & Grade Representative as the events occur during the school year. There are numerous parents, guardians and students who help out with events such as International day or student dances, or others who initiate club events or are part of the buddy program.

We encourage you to get involved and volunteer at any level! It’s one of the best ways to build relationships within the school community: with teachers and staff, other parents and your child’s classmates!
