Decision to be made

As important subject choices come in to focus, SIS staff were there to guide our students

In December parents and guardians and MYP5 students had presentations to help them start thinking about subject choices in the DP Programme and research the university requirements. This week they had the possibility to ask further questions about the subjects from the DP teachers in a DP Choices Fair. They could also review some of the teaching materials.

Being well-informed is an essential part of preparing for further milestones in students' education: choosing a University or other option. It's clear that finding the right University fit is not always a simple process, with entry requirements differing across institutions, and the IB Diploma scores needing to be mapped against other systems.

The next step is actually making their subject choices – by 7 March. DP Coordinator, Jarno Ampuja, and University and Careers Counsellor, Yuni Henningson, will always be happy to advise.
