During library lessons for the unit How the World Works, grade 1 students explored how to design different structures. The exercise was inspired by the story Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty. Students were challenged to create a tall and strong structure made of toothpicks and candies. During the session they were required to work together to create a structure that would hold up library books. Check out their creative designs!
