Halloween happenings!

We LOVE Halloween at the SPC - and SPIRIT WEEK is the perfect time to celebrate! With Halloween falling over Autumn Break, SIS will be celebrating Halloween on THURSDAY, October 22nd for primary students and FRIDAY, October 23rd for middle school students.  Details for each event will be coming soon, but we thought we’d highlight some traditions so you can get prepared.

At Primary School, classes also work together with their teachers and parent representatives to create festive door decorations leading up to the big day, with winners of the “best doors” being announced and prizes given during Spirit Week. Additionally, the SPC board and volunteers work to make the entry to both schools spooktacular with decorations around campuses. 

This year, the Primary School celebration will feature a fresh new format! Primary students are invited to join us for a Halloween Carnival in the schoolyard at Norra Latin immediately after school. Families can look forward to carnival-style games, spooky treats, festive activities, and plenty of Halloween fun in a lively outdoor setting.

The Middle School Halloween Party will take place on Friday, October 23rd. Planning is still underway, with more details regarding registration, timing, and activities to be shared soon. As always, students can expect a fun-filled afternoon with Halloween-themed activities, music, treats, and opportunities to celebrate with friends before Autumn Break.

Students are welcome to wear costumes to school on the day of their parties - teachers like to take part in this too, making for a festive day all around! Fun treats will be given out at both schools to make the day festive for everyone.

We always need lots of volunteers (besides our awesome SPC Board & parent representatives) both the days leading up to and during the events! Look out for more information and sign-up forms coming from Classlist in our weekly SPC Sunday Post and through the grade and class chat groups! Every bit of help goes a long way to making the day fun for everyone<!
